Hi everyone, I’m Lauren Skeens, RVT owner of Fabulous Fur and Feathers Pet Care. I wanted to just give you a brief overview of what we do and how we can help. Thank you for your interest in Fabulous Fur and Feathers Pet Care. Here at Fabulous Fur and Feathers, we are dedicated to quality in-home pet care for your pet(s) while you are away. We know how difficult it can be finding a pet-sitter willing and able to work with such a diverse group of animals. That is why we have specialized in these non-traditional pets. By specializing, we provide you with knowledge not typically found in the pet-sitting arena. It is our goal that your pet(s), no matter how unique, be well-cared for and that you enjoy a worry-free vacation. It is important to us that you have peace of mind while leaving your beloved family members at home in our care. As most of you know, in-home pet care is a great alternative to traditional boarding facilities. It allows your pets the chance to stay in their own surroundings alleviating some stress and anxiety. This is especially helpful for prey species. It alleviates the hassle of transporting enclosures, food and supplies and the stress the critter feels before, during and after the move. Often times, these animals will go off food or hide for days after travel. By allowing them to stay at home, much of these problems are avoided. In addition to the value you receive with specialized care, we can cater our visits to whatever your pet is most used to. I have provided some loose guidelines for what I would anticipate would be needed but do realize that every animal is different. A preliminary visit will be scheduled no less than one week prior to the visit, at no charge to you, to discuss the details. While scheduling this visit, I can obtain an e-mail address to send you the paperwork needed. This will make our initial meeting a little easier and allow us to clarify the details if need be. But more importantly, it will allow us the opportunity to properly introduce ourselves to your pet(s).
